Foreign several years Younger was associated with Washington architectural firms such as Waggaman and Ray, and in 1922 engaged in practice for himself. The Architects" Advisory Council had extended high commendation for and for that of the Blackstone Hotel. He also designed the Randolph Building at the corner of Randolph and 14th Street and 1661 Crescent Place, Northwest. Prior to entering his own practice, Joseph Younger wrote articles about Benjamin Latrobe"s Brentwood, and had other contributions to the journal Architecture.
