Chairman Committee on Platform and Resolutions, Democratic State Convention, 1898.

Moved to Saint Louis, Missouri, 1899. Chief Department of Inspection of Boilers and Elevators, Saint Louis, 1903-1907, also chief engineer, Saint Louis, 4 years.

Moved to Chicago, 1908, to take charge of own books public by Rand, McNally & Company, later entering public business on own account, as the Branch Public Company, now the Joseph G. Branch Public Company, of which is president President The Joseph G. Branch Institute of Engineering, Practical Electricity & Engineering Publishing Company.

Returned to active practice of law, 1931.
