Resigned to accept appointment as justice Supreme Court of Michigan (chief justice, 1913 and 1921). Elected, spring of 1910, as judge 11th Judicial Circuit, but declined, owing to accepting position on Supreme bench. Retired after over 46 years of continuous judicial service.
