Was then appointed to the See of Keewatin, newly established. Went on expedition sent by Canadian Government to survey the country between Great Slave Lake and Baker Lake.
Was absent on this duty nearly the whole of the year 1900, and travelled 7000 miles, 1101 of which 5000 were by canoe or on snow-shoes.
