Educated Central High School. Graduate in Pharmacy, Philadelphia College Pharmacy, 1866, later the Master of Philisophy. Honorary Doctor of Pharmacy, Northwestern University, 1899.

F.C.S., F.L.S., and F.R.M.S., London.

Career

Professor pharmacy, since 1874, director Pharmaceutical Laboratory, 1877-1915, dean, since 1893, Philadelphia College Pharmacy.
