"Fighter Pilot" aired on the Independent Film Channel’s Media Laboratory in October–December of 2007.
In the summer of 2008, Monkarsh wrote, produced and directed the sci-fi drama: "The Evolution of Ethan Baskin" starring "Dazed and Confused" lead Jason London. "Ethan Baskin" received a notice of acceptance into the 62nd annual Cannes Film Festival - Short Film Corner.
Humbled by his acceptance into Cannes, Monkarsh concluded, “I suppose every filmmaker has dreams of making it big though my only consistent dream has been to simply tell a story while enlightening my audience.”Template:Josh Monkarsh.
