Robin holds a master"s degree in Communication (Journalism) from Stanford and a bachelor"s degree cum laude from Tufts. He was born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut, where he attended Westhill High School (Connecticut) and The Bi-Cultural Day School.
He is a political reporter who contributes to the nightly program Inside City Hall. He also anchors NY1 news programming and contributes to YNN and News 14 Carolina, NY1"s sister channels. He began work at the station in 2005 after several years as a newspaper reporter (Newsday, The Seattle Times, The New York Times).
In 1996 while on a semester abroad, he was a stringer for The Nairobi Law Monthly in Nairobi, Kenya, where he reported on allegations of police brutality near the border with Sudan.
