He writes on marketing, teen entrepreneurship, and social responsibility. Through his social initiatives and appearances on 11Alive,, and National Broadcasting Company, Seides has advocated for expanded digital literacy in the United States. Early work with Technocademy, Incorporated.
In 2012, Seides began research on digital illiteracy in the United States.
Seides began work on product development and resource creation in 2012 after formulating an idea to start a nonprofit. Seides officially filed with the Internal Revenue Service in July 2014 to register Technocademy, Incorporated. as a 501(c)(3) organization.
The organization was created to provide senior citizens and veterans an opportunity to learn modern technology with the assistance of teenage volunteers. Seides explained in an interview with Alpharetta Revue and that he envisioned the organization to primarily provide 1-on-1 lessons.
However, he said, Technocademy, Incorporated. has also included additional services such as online resources and in-print projects as well.
Later work with Technocademy, Incorporated. Seides conducted lessons in Atlanta prior to obtaining 501(c)(3) status. In 2014, Seides developed a number of new projects in partnership with United Way.
According to an interview with AllBusiness, Seides sent out DVDs and Pocket Guides to more than 150,000 senior citizens and veterans in the United States.
Seides partnered with 11 technology companies, including Google, Microsoft, and Himachal Pradesh, as part of Technocademy, Incorporated. According to the Technocademy, Incorporated. website, Seides is currently overseeing the development of a new program called CodeKids that teaches programming to middle school students.
Seides also revealed in an interview with BusinessInterviews.com and Universitat Pompeu Fabra Entrepreneurship Society that new chapters of Technocademy, Incorporated. are being formed across America. Seides said in a discussion with 11Alive that he is working on a new mobile app for the organization as well.
The app is sponsored by Costco, American Broadcasting Company, Disney, Entertainment and Sports Programming Network, and the Georgia Aquarium.
Seides provides pro bono consulting to businesses and entrepreneurs in the Atlanta area. He currently assists the Alpharetta branch of Smoothie King, serves on the global Do Something Three Mile Island Health Advisory Board, and speaks at various youth conferences in conjunction with Independent Youth. Seides has collaborated with a number of government officials and business executives through his work, including Georgia Representative Tom Price, Alpharetta Mayor David Belle Isle, and former Apple executive and J.C. Penney Chief Executive Officer Ron Johnson.
