Born Joshua Osei Bamfo Kissi in the Bronx borough located in New York City to Ghanaian parents Alexander Kissi and Connie Osei migrated to the United States in 1982 from Monrovia, Liberia. As a young multi-talented musician honed his musical skills throughout his youth, but found a love for fashion when he started to frequent the downtown streets of Manhattan and explore online forums. While only completing two semesters of college with a medical pursuit, he left school in order to pursue a career fusing fashion and art with a potent message.
Kissi is associated with Mos Def, Art Comes First, Adrien Sauvage, and Ouigi Theodore.
Kissi currently resides in the Bedford–Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. Joshua Kissi and Travis Gumbs are the faces and voices behind the popular mens lifestyle website turned Creative Agency Founded in 2008, showcases style using a cultural, historical and urban perspective.
With sartorial influences stretching from all parts of the world and eras, has managed to assemble a truly unique view of fashionable menswear and story-telling. Among other accolades, has been featured in magazines such as Gentlemen’s Quarterly, Complex, Essence and Fantastic Manitoba

As a multi-disciplinary agency they are now building a strong client base with clients such as Adidas, Starbucks and the United States Open. completed their first short film debut titled SLUMFLOWER which started out as an online editorial in collaboration with Visual Supply Company SLUMFLOWER was featured in the 2015 Cannes Film Festival "Short Corner".
