At present (1934) professor in the Faculty of Law of the University of Havana. At one time professor of general literature in the National Preparatory School of Mexico City. Professor of Caribbean literature in the Summer School of the University of Mexico, 1933.

Mañach, Ichaso, and Lizaso) of the Revista de Avance, 1927-1930. Company-director (with J. M. Irisarri) of the Revista Política, 1931.
Contributor to the Diario de Yucatán, Mérida (Mexico), and to Crítica of Buenos Aires.
