Juan Rizi

He was a brother of Francisco Rizi, and a pupil of Juan Bautista Mayno. He painted several works for Saint Juan Bautista in Burgos, Saint Martin in Madrid, and Monte Cassino in Italy. In the Madrid Museum is a Saint Francis of Assisi by him (?). He afterwards went to Rome, where he was made an Archbishop (?) by pope Clement X. He died at Monte Cassino in 1681.

He was born in Madrid.

Career

He was a brother of Francisco Rizi, and a pupil of Juan Bautista Mayno. He painted several works for Saint Juan Bautista in Burgos, Saint Martin in Madrid, and Monte Cassino in Italy. In the Madrid Museum is a Saint Francis of Assisi by him (?).
