Career
Born in Louisiana Rochelle, was the son of Pierre Rondeau and Catherine Bourgeois. In 1762, Rondeau joined the Batallon de Infanteria of Santa Fe. In 1764 he was promoted to Corporal, and as First Sergeant in March 1773.
In 1783, Rondeau was appointed chief responsible for the control of the Indians, who were responsible for construction the houses of the inhabitants, of Valle of San Francisco.
Rondeau participated heroically in the defense of Buenos Aires. during the British invasions of the Río de la Plata (1806-1807).
