Graduated from Kyushu University (1921).
Received an appointment in the Ministry of Railways and was sent to Europe for further training (1922-23). Returning home was appointed foreman of the works section of Railway Bureau at Nagoya (1923) and rose to become its chief (1945). Has contributed much to the development of the railway system of Japan in consideration for whicn he was invited to become a member of Japan Council of Science (1950). Is now chief manager of Japan Railway Technique Association. Is the author of several books on engineering, noteworthy of which is “Pocket Book on Civil Engineering.”
