Chief, Eastern and Western divisions, Riga, 1928-1930. Latvian permanent delegate League of Nations, Geneva, 1930, Envoy Extraordinary anu Minister Plenipotentiary to Switzerland, 1932.

Became Latvian envoy to King of Denmark, 1939. Minister Plenipotentiary, charge d’affaires of Latvia, Washington, since 1949.
