Julius was born on April 11, 1907 in Russia. He came to the United States in 1914. Son of Nathan Harry and Sadie (Susnow) Darsky.
Julius studied at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. In 1931 he received a degree of the Bachelor of Science.
From 1931 to 1937 Julius worked as a salesman, sales manager, Vice-president of the Golden Age Beverage Company in Youngstown, Ohio, United States. In 1935 he became a President of the Golden Age and Pepsi-Cola Beverage Company in Akron, Ohio, United States. He worked there until 1937. In 1947 he became the president of Akron Jewish Centre and of Temple Israel later. He worked in the Jewish Rehabilitation Centre and Mount Sinai Health System. He became the chairman of the Development Foundation of Mount Sinai Hospital in 1970. Later he built Joe Darsky Comprehensive High School in Acre, Israel (in memory of his brother). From 1981 to 1986 Julius worked at the Coca-Cola Bottlers in Detroit, Michigan, United States.

Julius was married to Rose G. Weber on September 10, 1928 (deceased in February 1988). He had three children: H.G. Paige, S.W. Giller and Richard H. He married to Frances Einhorn on February 2, 1989.
