Following a period of partnership with Arthur Loomis Mr. Hartman maintained an independent office, and during his active years designed varied types of buildings in Louisville. Among his best known works were the Girls’ Friendly Inn, 1911; residence for James Ross Todd, 1908; Building for the Grocers’ Biscuit Company, 1912, and the Louis ’’Turngemide.”
He was a charter member of the old Louisville Chapter, A.I.A. in 1893 transferred to the Kentucky Chapter.
