Began practice at Brandon, Vermont, 1884. Removed to Burlington, Vermont, 1889, to New York, 1897. Professor laryngology, 1886, materia medica and therapeutics, 1887-1894, professor eye, ear, nose and throat, 1890-1897, University of Vermont.

Professor ophthalmology, since 1908, also director instruction in ophthalmology, 1913-1916, New York Post-Graduate Medical school and Hospital.
