He was briefly professor at Tokyo Higher Sericulture School and Tokyo Higher School of Textiles till he rejoined his alma mater as professor. A specialist in chrysalis oil, he is a director of Food Research Institute.
Among his works are "Theories of Edible Oil Nutrition" and "Sericultural Chem'istry and Utilization of By-Products."
