June Marshall was born on June 2, 1947, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is the daughter of William G. and Adele Marshall. She moved to the United States as a child with her mother upon the death of her father.
June Marshall attended the University of Pittsburgh where she obtained a Master of Arts degree in English literature in 1971.
June Marshall, after graduation, honed her writing talent to become an author in her own right. She taught English in Philadelphia and New Jersey from 1971 till 1983, before becoming the owner of Bee Flower & Sun Honey Company. From 1987 till 2000 she worked at the American Telephone and Telegraph Company as a speechwriter. While there, she also specialized in human factors and systems usability engineering, becoming a subject-matter expert in the field. In addition, she designed, developed, and managed AT&T intranet web sites, pioneering the use of Internet technologies at the company.
Besides, June's professional experience also included the positions as a shop owner, an actress in off-off-Broadway productions, a handwriting analyst, and a web-site design consultant.
Since 2000 she has been writing books. Her first book is The Dirty Seven: Ladies Beware!: Who They Are. What They Do. How to Handle Them. Hint: It's Not Love! (2001). She wrote this book after over thirty years of experience observing, dating, being friends with, and marrying men. She sought to discover what made some men such good mates, husbands, or boyfriends. She also began to understand what makes some men poor mates. In this book, she presented her approach to some of life's most important issues: the search for meaning, the need for love, and social structures that impede what they purport to achieve. The second book, Booby Trapped: Me Beware! The Dirty Seven Sisters: A Dating Guide for the Twenty-First Century (2003), is a witty and humorous guidebook about how to handle women who are not capable of developing loving relationships.
