Junzaburo Takeuchi was employed by Kokumin Shimbun (newspaper) (1924), editor-in-chief of Mokyo Shinibun in Manchuria (1939). President of Santo Shimbun in Manchut-ia (1943). Repatriated to Japan (1946). Founded Tsurininsha (Anglers' magazine) (1951).
Studied fishing and published the magazine Mizu-no Shmni (Taste for Water). Particularly adept in mountain torrent fishing and published "Torrent Fishing" in co-operation with Koseki Sato. After the war, compiled "Key Points for River Fishing and "Key Points for Sea Fishing."
