Chen K. P. studied at St. John’s University in Shanghai before going to the United States, where he attended the University of Pennsylvania and was graduated with undergraduate (B. C.) degree in 1909.
Mr. Chen organised the Jiangsu (Kiangsu) Provincial Bank and was its first manager. He was a founder of the Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank, of which he has been general manager since 1915. Chen K. P. served as a director of several other leading Chinese banks in Shanghai. He took up the post of a chairman of the cotton industry regulation committee. Mr. Chen also was a member of the National Economic Council.
