She studied Chinese classics under Shoin Goto and painting under Oritsu Maruyama.
Career
Established a girls’ school in Kanda, Tokyo, in 1875. II was an institution for daughter of distinguished persons. It moved to Koishikawa in Tokyo later and was reorganized as the Atomi Girls School. At present, the school is called the Atomi Girls High School.
