After serving as employee of Hakodate Fisheries Company became representative director of Hokkai Shoho Company (Shoho: Commercial News); served concurrently as president of Hakodate Fisheries Company and Tomoe Refrigeration Company; also was appointed executive of various other fisheries organizations. After the war was elected twice to House of Representatives.
