Career
Born in Dakar, Yero made his debuts as a senior with Football Club Istres, then signed with Football Club Porto in 2009 to complete his formation. During his spell he was loaned twice, and also appeared in three competitive games with the club, totalling 57 minutes of play between the Portuguese Cup and the Portuguese League Cup. In the 2011 summer Yero joined Gil Vicente Football Club, his maiden appearance in Primeira Liga occurring on 24 October as he came on as a late substitute in a 1–6 away loss against Sporting Clube de Portugal.
Two years later he moved to U.D. Oliveirense from the second level, spending his first season on loan.
Yero represented Senegal at the 2012 Summer Olympics, playing all four matches in an eventual quarter-final exit.
