Kamo no Tadayuki was a versatile individual and served the Imperial Court as a diviner. A story says that Emperor Murakami packed a string of crystal beads in a case and asked him to guess what it contained. Tadayuki correctly named the contents. It is also said that he correctly predicted the future of several priests, and that all his forecasts were accurate.
