Career
He began practice of medicine (1911). Served then as president of Nan-etsu Railway Company and official of various public organizations. Established and became president of Fukui Railway Company (since 1945) and director of Fukui Bank (since 1949). Held various additional posts including those of director of Sakai Shokusan Kaisha (Sakai Weaving Industry Company) and president of Fukui Prefectural Doctors' Association.
