Three parts of works are involved in my job here in CSMU. 1. Teaching: My teaching responsibility is mostly related to the molecular biological aspects of basic/applied/clinical sciences, including some introductions on molecular biology, biotechnology (molecular biotechnology0 and molecular diagnosis. Furthermore, I also teach some classes at graduate levels. 2. Research: My previous research efforts were contributed to the study of membrane protein structure/function using heavy metal resistances as a model for about 20 years. Starting from 2005, my research interests were shifted to copper and its role on embryo development and cellular function, especially its direct or indirect effects on certain genes expressions, using Zebra fish as a model. Minor plan currently undertaken in my lab is to study the role of G6PD and how this house-keeping enzyme affects the development of fish eggs. 3. Services: In CSMU Chairman, School of Medical Technology (1998-2004), Director, Department of Clinical Lab, CSMUH (1997-2001), Director, Business Incubator (2004-2005), Dean, College of Medical Sciences and Technology(2005-2011), Dean, International Affair (2012-). Outside CSMU Academic Consultant, Nanjing Medical University Academic Consultant, Capital Medical University Visiting Professor, Osaka University (2006) Exam Organizer, MT board exam, Inspector/Leader, College accrediting visit
