Career
Kaname Takahashi became manager of Tokyo Branch (1940), director (1941) and senior managing director (1943) of Nomura Securities Company and thereafter became president of Eguchi Shoken Kaisha (Eguchi Securities Company) (since 1947) and director of Osaka Shoken Kinyu Kaisha (Osaka Securities & Financing Company) (since 1948). Appointed president of Osaka Shokengyo Kyokai (Osaka Securities Dealers' Association).
Held various additional posts including those of chief director of Osaka Securities Exchange, member of Osaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry, director of Federation of Economic Organizations and director of Kansai Federation of Economic Organizations.
