Career
Kanejiro Kaneda was a master craftsman, specializing in the making of gold scabbards, which earned him the title of "Master Sayakane" (Saya meaning scabbard and Kane, the abbreviation of his given name). After the Meiji Restoration (18G8) took to metal casting and carving in ivory.
