She and Lee Hae-ri comprise the K-popular/contemporary Rhythm & Blues duo, which rose to fame upon the release of their debut album Amaranth in 2008. has since released 2 studio albums and several EPs and singles, with hit songs "The Letter," "8282," "Turtle" and "Because I Mission You Today." Kang has also pursued acting, appearing in television dramas such as Smile, Mom (2010), Vampire Idol (2011) and Haeundae Lovers (2012).
