Kanzaburo Nakamura

Background

Kanzaburo was born in 1909 in Tokyo, Japan.

Career

Kanzaburo made debut at Ichimuraza theater under the stage name of Yonekichi in 1916. After moving to Toho Troupe in 1935 tried to model his acting on that of Kikugoro VI and switch­ed to tateyaku (leading roles) of modern and ancient Kabuki plays. After the war was affiliated with Mitsukoshi Kabuki and Kichiemon Troupe.
