Behnke"s current company is Juice Beauty, an "organic eco-chic beauty products company". Juice Beauty is specialized in making skincare, makeup, and haircare made with organic ingredients. From 1983 to 1996, Behnke founded PacifiCare Wellness Company (formerly known as Execu-Fit Health Programs) in San Francisco, one of the first corporate wellness companies in the country.
The company delivered worksite medical fitness screenings, health risk appraisals, and fitness programs, for major corporations.
The Wellness Company grew to provide services to over 2 million members in six states staffed with 300 healthcare professional employees. Behnke sold the company to PacifiCare Health Systems (now United Healthcare) in 1991 and became the parent company’s second female executive during a five-year growth phase from $1 to $5 billion in revenue.
From 1996-2003, Behnke led the Healthy Lifestyles investment strategy for a private equity firm that was the majority shareholder of 24 Hour Fitness. Behnke joined the Board of Directors and was an Operating Executive for 24 Hour Fitness, during a seven-year growth period, from $75 mm to over $1 billion in revenue.
