You are a police officer. This is what you do. You speak for the dead, and the desperate living. When Anna Cameron is promoted to Chief Inspector and moved to a new division, it should be a turning point for her. Her first four novels are police procedurals, set in Glasgow, featuring Sergeant Anna Cameron and Cath and Jamie Worth. Her fifth novel, published in 2013, breaks away from the crime series.
The novel was selected as the British Broadcasting Corporation Radio Four Book at Bedtime in April 2013.
Karen Campbell was born in Paisley and brought up in Glasgow. Karen studied for the Creative Writing Master"s degree at Glasgow University.
