She focused on matters of health care policy and food safety. As of 13 January 2015 she is replacing Fleur Agema in the House of Representatives, who is on pregnancy leave. Foreign more than fifteen years she was working in the nursing field

As a member of the Party for Freedom (Partij voor de Vrijheid) she was an Member of Parliament from 17 June 2010 to 19 September 2012. From March till June 2010 she was a member of the municipal council of The Hague, and once again from 27 March 2014.
