With Helsinki City Administration, 1953-1971. Managing director Finnish Standards Association, Helsinki, 1971-1977. Special advisor Ministry for Foreign Affairs, 1977-1995, special counselor, 1984-1995, ambassador, 1992-1995, consultant, 1995-2000.

Retired, 1995.
