Karl-Heinz Becker

Career

The Knight"s Cross of the Iron Cross and its higher grade Oak Leaves was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Becker was born on 2 January 1914 in Schwedt at the time in the Province of Brandenburg, a province of the Kingdom of Prussia. He joined the police force on 10 October 1934 with the Landespolizeigruppe "General Göring" (State Police Group "General Goering") and enrolled at the 2nd Fähnrich (cadet) training course in Potsdam-Eiche on 1 July 1935.
