1895 graduate Kazan'Veterinary Institute.
After graduation worked as a zemstvo veterinary surgeon. 1896-1899 assistant dissector, Chair of Pathological Anatomy, Kazan’ Veterinary Institute. 1899 defended master’s thesis on K voprosu o patologoanatomicheskikh izmeneniyakh spinnogo mozga pri chume sobak (Pathological Anatomical Lesions of the Spine in Canine Plague).
From 1900 head, Chair of Pathological Anatomy, Kazan’ Veterinary Institute. 1921-1924 simultaneously head, Chair of Pathological Anatomy, Medical Faculty, Kazan' University. 1922-1930 head, Chair of Pathological Anatomy, State Institute for Postgraduate Medical Training.
1919-1938 director, Kazan’ Veterinary Institute. Devised new classification of inflammatory processes and described the cellular forms of foci of inflammation. Devised a classification of horse colics.
Developed theory of a specific pathomorphological syndrome common to many infectious diseases and theory of hemotransudation. Proposed new classification of hemorrhage. Compiled a collection of color slides on animal pathological anatomy for training purposes.
Established a museum of pathological anatomy containing over 3,000 exhibits. Supervised the writing of 220 papers, including 58 doctor's theses on the pathomorphology and pathogenesis of infectious and infestant diseases. Trained 13 dr of sci and 45 candidate of science
Organized and attended many veterinary conferences and congresses. Member, Tatar Central Executive Committee. Deputy, Kazan’ City Soviet.
1927-1937 ed, Kazan’ Veterinary Institute journal Uchyonyye zapiski. Wrote over 60 works on general pathology and the pathomorphology and pathogenesis of infectious and infestant diseases in animals. Compiled textbook on the pathological anatomy of farm animals for use in higher veterinary educational establishments.
