Career
Until 1908 farm laborer for German baron. 1908-1916 stonemason’s apprentice, then stonemason in Riga. 1916-1917 private in 2nd Riga Latin Regt, Russian Army.
From January 1918 Red Army political official 1918-1920 military comissar, military emissary, then again military comissar, Latin Soviet Infantry Division: 1920-1921 military comissar. Red Army Infantry Division.
1921 military comissar, cavalry brigade. 1922-1923 military comissar, cavalry school and cavalry brigade in Taganrog. 1929-1930 acting commander, Slavgorod Territorial Regiment
1930-1933 worked for Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics People's Commissariat of Army and Navy Affairs. 1933-1937 assistant commandant (political). College of Special Railroad Corps.
From March 1917 member. Executive Committee, Latin Infantry Regiment Fought in October Revol in Valka.
1918-1919 fought against German troops to defend and liberate Latin Fall 1919 helped rout Denikin’s troops near Oryol. 1921 fought against Basmachi in Centr Asia.
1937 arrested by People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs.

Religion is bad because it divides people, and is a cause of conflict and war.
Views
The emphasis on peaceful coexistence doesn’t mean that the Soviet Union accepted a static world with clear lines. Socialism is inevitable and the "correlations of forces" were moving towards socialism.
