1898 graduate Moscow Higher Technical College. 1903 graduate Moscow University. Career-, from 1905 taught at Moscow Higher Technical College, where he established an electr engineering department and after the 1917 October Revol, an electr engineering faculty.
1920 helped to develop plans for the electrification of Russia. Company-founder and associate, All-Union Electr Engineer Institute and Moscow Power Engineer Institute. 1921-1930 director, All-Union Electr Engineer Institute.
Specialized in electr engineering theory and techniques of converting direct into alternating current. Did research on electromagnetic processes in controlled mercury rectifiers.
