Karl-Heinz Land is the Founder of VoiceObjects AG and also serves as its Chief Strategy Officer. Mr. Land serves as Chairman of the Board of Management at GrandCentrix GmbH. He served as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President of Strategic Sales Development for VoiceObjects AG since October 2005 and also served as its Head of Sales and President. Prior to VoiceObjects, he served several upper management positions at Microstrategy including General Manager and Vice-President of Sales for Central and Eastern Europe. In 2000, he led a new voice business for Microstrategy which grew into Angel.com. Mr. Land also spent three years within BusinessObjects as Managing Director Germany and played an integral part in driving BusinessObjects through their successful IPO. He served as a Director of VoiceObjects AG. His achievements include the coveted "Technology Pioneer Award" from the 2006 World Economic Forum (WEF), the "Maker of the Month" from Impulse Magazine, inclusion in "The New Technology Elite" by WirtschaftsWoche, and finalist in the European Business Awards 2005, 2006 and 2007 and in "Entrepreneur des Jahres" 2005 and 2006. One of the most important achievements of Karl-Heinz Land is the foundation of the VoiceObjects in 2001 with a team of six co-founders. It was created as as OneBridge software just outside of downtown Cologne, Germany. Since then the company has grown to serving well over 200M callers per year with global presence, and has been incorporated in 2005 as United States company with headquarters in San Mateo, California.
Nowadays VoiceObjects is a company that produces VoiceXML-based self-service phone portals which personalize each caller’s experience and provide mobile access that integrates speech recognition, touch-tone response, texting and mobile web.
In December 2008, VoiceObjects was acquired by Voxeo Corporation. The VoiceObjects products are since then part of the Voxeo portfolio and the VoiceObjects office and staff are now operating as Voxeo Germany.
End of July 2013 Aspect Software has acquired Voxeo to strengthen Aspect's IVR and multichannel self-service offerings.
