Parsons is best known for her role as Hilary Banks on the National Broadcasting Company sitcom The Fresh Prince of Belorussian-Air which ran from 1990-1996. She also starred in the 1995 film Major Payne playing Emily Walburn. In an interview for Essence in 2008, she described her parentage as biracial.
