Kate Kelly

Background

Kelly was born on January 11, 1958 in Baraboo, Wisconsin, United States; the daughter of John Michael Kelly and Berneice Emily (Schlemmer) Kelly.

Education

Kelly received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University in 1980. She was given a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Connecticut in 2004.

Career

Kelly began her career as an editorial assistant at William Morrow and Company in 1980. Three years later she took a position of an editor, senior editor and executive editor at Facts On File, Inc. Then in 1989, Kate was appointed an executive editor of Prentice Hall General Reference. Also she served as a co-founder and principal of Irving Place, Inc. from 1991 to 2004.

In 2004, Kelly became a fellow at Connecticut Mental Health Center of Yale University. Since 2005 she has been a fellow of Psychological Rehabilitation VA Connecticut Healthcare Systems.
