Kate Upton was raised in Melbourne, Florida by her mother, a former Texas state tennis champion and her father, a high school athletics director. She attended Trinity Episcopal Academy while competing at a national level as an equestrian. Upton was a very successful rider, winning three APHA Reserve World Championships as a teenager, and she was also, of course, gorgeous. When she was 16, she was signed by Elite Model Management after attending a casting call and then, after graduating from high school, moved to New York City to sign with IMG Models. Once she was featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2011, she was named Rookie of the Year and quickly became famous for her curves. To date she has landed the covers of Sports Illustrated, Vogue, and Vanity Fair, and has been named Model of the Year.
