Engaged in political activities on her father’s behalf, 1864, 68, knew of “Pomeroy Circular,” 1864.
Entertained lavishly at home “Canchonet,” near Washington, from 1868. Divorced her husband (following public quarrel 1879), 1882.
Lived at father’s home “Edgewood,” Washington, from 1886, suffered financial difficulties until death.
Married William Sprague, November 12, 1863 (divorced 1882), 4 children.
