Katsumi Kikunami graduated from Kansei Gakuin College.
Career
After graduating from Kansei Gakuin College, joined the editorial staff of Asahi Shimbun in time to become chief leader writer for the newspaper. Katsumi Kikunami was the first chairman of Union of Industrial Organizations and was elected to the Diet on a Communist ticket. He was vice-chief editor of Akahata (red flag) newspaper and was purged after the war (1950).
