Kayıhan was born in 1923 in İzmir, Turkey.

Between 1942 and 1945, he studied Gazi University, Ankara.
After working in the workshops of Refik Epikman and Malik Aksel, he worked as an art teacher in secondary education institutions between 1948-1955. He opened his first solo exhibition in Ankara in 1956 and worked as an assistant at the Lausanne School of Fine Arts.
After returning to Turkey, Keskinok, who worked as an art teacher at Painting-Business Department of Gazi University, also participating in contemporary Turkish art exhibitions in Bulgaria and Romania.
The artist pursues his work through materialism on poetic, creative, imaginary inspirations. Since 1983, he worked as an independent artist. On April 18, 2015, at the age of 92, Kayıhan died of heart failure in a hospital in Ankara.
