Career
Became a staff member of the Chosen Shimpo, a newspaper in Korea in 1899. Became president of the Chosen Shimbun, in which the Chosen Shimpo and Chosen Times were merged. Later he became president of the Chosen Accounting Company and Hagiwara Coal Partnership Co.
