Career
Born in Causeway, County, Carmody first excelled at hurling during his schooling at Causeway Comprehensive School. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the minor team before later joining the under-21 side. He made his senior debut during the 2014 league.
He was part of the Under 21 Hurling/Shinty International team in 2015.
At club level Carmody plays with Causeway.
