Career
Fels played junior hockey with the Nanaimo Clippers of the British Columbia Hockey League before attending Brandon University where he played CWUAA hockey during the 1999-2000 season. Fels turned professional to play with the Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League for the 2000-2001 season. He played a total of six seasons in the minor leagues before retiring as a professional player following the 2005-2006 season he spent in the United Hockey League with the Muskegon Fury.
