Morris" platform is “Leukemia: Living for a Cure” and she said she hoped to promote funding for research to find a cure for Leukemia during her reign as Mission Texas. Morris majored in broadcast journalism at Texas Christian University. Morris is a baton twirler with the Texas Christian University Marching Band, and she performed at the 2011 Rose Bowl and the 2010 Fiesta Bowl.
She is currently a reporter at WBIR-television in Knoxville, Tennessee.
In January 2016 it was announced she would be a weekend anchor alongside Aaron Wright.

She won the title of Mission Texas on July 1, 2011, when she received her crown from outgoing titleholder Ashley Melnick. Morris was Overall Interview Winner at Mission Texas 2011. Morris was Preliminary Swimsuit winner at the Mission America 2012 pageant as well as the Louanne Gamba (Lulu) Instrumental Award recipient. Morris" win was the second consecutive time a Texas Christian University student won the Mission Texas title, as Ashley Melnick, Mission Texas 2010, also attended Texas Christian University. At the age of 15, Morris won the title of Mission Texas" Outstanding Teen in 2006, and went on to compete in the Mission America"s Outstanding Teen pageant in 2007, where she won multiple preliminary awards, but did not place in the top 10.
